#1. 1978 Hall of Fame Film Union County vs. Terre Haute North

AVAILABLE JANUARY 2010 1978 Union County vs. Terre Haute North. Classic David vs. Goliath. The 1978 Union County Braves traveled in Terre Haute North to take on Indian powerhouse Terre Haute North. Terre Haute North was lead by a "Goliath" running back named, Ada Wisdom. Wisdom weighed 280 pounds and had "half back" moves and speed. WIsdom literally began the game "swatting" away Braves tacklers. Braves Defensive Coach Charlie Bob Paris made the adjustment and instructed the defense to "hit Goliath as hard and as low as you can, hit Wisdom below the knees". Brian Babbs made a historic hit on Wisdom that brought him down and caused a fumble. The Braves won the game 20-6. This Hall of Fame game is the first in the 2010 Hall of Fame film series. #2. 1978 Braves vs. Webster County

AVAILABLE FEBRARY 2010 The 1978 Union County Braves traveled to Dixon, KY, to face district rival, Webster County Trojans. The Union County Football Braves had not allowed a Webster County Football team to score a single point in 12 years. The Braves kept the streak alive by beating the Trojans 32-0. AVAILABLE MARCH 2010 First district game of the 1979 season played on the Murray State University astro-turf. Braves backs blazed and the defense kept the endzone slammed shut in this classic

AVAILABLE APRIL 2010 Second district game of the 1979 Braves season. Union County traveled to the Paducah area and took on the Reidland Greyhouds. #7. 1979 Braves vs. Webster County Trojans

AVAILABLE JUNE 2010 The Webster Trojans came swaggering to Union County lead by #34 Doug Goforth. The Braves had kept the Trojans out of the endzone 12 straight years. A long Trojan drive in the first half and a Braves penalty gave the ball on the 1 yard line. The 12 year shutout streak looked like it was coming to an end for the Braves. The film shows what took place that kept the Trojans out of the endzone and kept the Braves shutout streak to 13 years. This game was filmed in 16mm and will be converted to DVD. #8. 1979 Braves vs. Lone Oak

AVAILABLE JULY 2010 The Braves 3-D Defense had kept their first four district opponents out of the endzone in 1979. The Braves were poised to run the tables on all five district foes as they traveled to the Paducah area to take on the Lone Oak Purple Flash. A fumble by the Braves offense was caught in mid air by a Lone Oak player and returned for a TD. Watch the effort by the Braves to keep the Lone Oak player from scoring. Braves responded to this TD by running 28 unanswered points and won the game 28-7. This game was filmed in 16 mm and will be converted to DVD. ($25 donation +$5 s/h)

AVAILBABLE AUGUST 2010 One of the truly classic games in Union County Football history. On a rain flooded field, Union County Braves faced one of the all time best teams in Kentucky High School football history. Union County's "District Demolishers" took on powerhouse Franklin-Simpson in this classic 1979 state playoff game. The Braves faced two of the all-time greatest offensive players, 1979's "Mr. Kentucky Football", Kerry Baird, and "Joker" Joe Phillps. This game was filmed in 16 mm and will be converted to DVD. Interesting Facts about the U.S. Supreme Courthouse’s
45 Ten Commandment Displays
  *The current U.S. Supreme Courthouse was opened in 1935.  Five types of
   Ten Commandment displays were designed into the building’s architecture.
  *Type No. 1 is carved in the bottom panels of two large oak doors that lead
  into the building’s central courtroom.
  *Type No. 2 is a cast likeness of John Jay, the Supreme Court’s first Chief 
  Justice, viewing the Ten Commandment tables of stone . This display is
  located over the front entrance to the building.  (actual picture not available)
  *Type No. 3 is set over the rear entrance of the courthouse, where a seated
  Moses is depicted holding the two stone tablets of the Ten Commandments.
  *Type No. 4 is a second likeness of Moses carrying the Ten Commandments 
  tablets of stone. Moses sets high up on the wall, left of where the justices sit.
  *Type No. 5 is cast into the front and back sides of 20 bronze pillars located
  on the left and right sides of 10 brass gates.  The 20 bronze pillars hold up
  the 10 gates that define the inner and outer boundaries of the courtroom. 
  There  are a total of 40 of the No. 5 type displays found inside the courtroom
  *The U.S. Supreme Courthouse in Washington, D.C., has more displays of the
  Ten Commandments than any other courthouse in the world.
  *The U.S. Supreme Courthouse is on the National Historic Register and all
  45 displays are protected from removal or alteration.
  *Since 1935 , every federal court case banning the display of the Ten
  Commandments in schools and other public buildings has been decided by
  the Supreme Court with its own 45 Ten Commandment displays in place.
